If you enter a date, the jam will show up on the top section as a "One Time Event" and disappear from the list when the event happens.

If you leave the date blank, the jam will show up on the bottom section as an "Ongoing Event". Be sure to put something in the comments to indicate when the jam is. This listing will stay up until manually deleted.
